StormReady™ · Newport Beach
Balboa Island's seawall surrounds low-lying streets, and the city often adds temporary barriers during King Tides. We protect individual homes along the bayfront walk and the low inland blocks.

Harbor & bay homes
King Tides are the highest predicted tides of the year. They happen when the moon and sun line up and the moon is closest to Earth. In Orange County they mostly hit between November and February, usually in the morning.
A King Tide alone can bring the harbor to within inches of the top of many seawalls. Add a storm surge, onshore wind or boat wakes, and water can spill over the wall into patios, yards and ground-floor rooms.
We lay a continuous line of sandbags along the top of your seawall or across the back of your lot, at the number of rows high you choose, to hold back water that comes over the wall.
Open wall top
Clear concrete or capstone. Bags sit directly on the wall top or right behind it.
Planters in front
Raised planters along the wall. Bags go in front of the planters, on the house side.
Bushes on top
Hedges or shrubs along the wall. Bags go on the house side of the landscaping.
Planter notice: When planters or bushes run along your seawall, we place the sandbags in front of them, on the house side. If the tide comes over the wall, those plants may be exposed to saltwater.

Yes. We place a continuous sandbag line along the top of the seawall or across the back of the property, at the number of rows high you choose. Every seawall job is confirmed with a site assessment.

No. Sandbags reduce the risk of water getting in but are not watertight. You sign a short flood-protection release before we deploy.
