Harbor & bay homes
King Tides are the highest predicted tides of the year. They happen when the moon and sun line up and the moon is closest to Earth. In Orange County they mostly hit between November and February, usually in the morning.
A King Tide alone can bring the harbor to within inches of the top of many seawalls. Add a storm surge, onshore wind or boat wakes, and water can spill over the wall into patios, yards and ground-floor rooms.
We lay a continuous line of sandbags along the top of your seawall or across the back of your lot, at the number of rows high you choose, to hold back water that comes over the wall.
Open wall top
Clear concrete or capstone. Bags sit directly on the wall top or right behind it.
Planters in front
Raised planters along the wall. Bags go in front of the planters, on the house side.
Bushes on top
Hedges or shrubs along the wall. Bags go on the house side of the landscaping.
Planter notice: When planters or bushes run along your seawall, we place the sandbags in front of them, on the house side. If the tide comes over the wall, those plants may be exposed to saltwater.
Every site is different, so we send your price after reviewing your request and photos. We don't rent sandbags or barriers; you buy them and we deliver and install them.
About 2 minutes. No charge, no commitment.

StormReady™ reduces the risk of water entering at the protected openings. It is not guaranteed flood prevention — severe flooding, groundwater or water entering elsewhere may still cause damage.
StormReady™ is OC Tasker's flood protection service. We deliver and install water-filled flood barriers or sandbags at your doors, garage, seawall or storefront, and offer optional maintenance. Pick-up and disposal are not included and are quoted separately.
Every site is different, so we quote after reviewing your estimator request, photos and site. Delivery, purchase and installation are quoted together; optional maintenance is quoted separately.
No. Pick-up and disposal are not included in sandbag delivery, purchase and installation. If you'd like us to remove them, it's an additional charge quoted separately, since quantity, condition and access vary.
No. You buy the sandbags or barriers and we deliver and install them. They're yours to keep, or we can pick them up and dispose of them for an additional charge, quoted separately.
Barriers are cleaner and faster on flat, accessible surfaces with an outdoor faucet nearby. Sandbags work better on slopes, uneven ground and irregular openings. If you're not sure, choose "Not sure" and we'll recommend one.
We lay 20″ bags end to end, two layers high, plus a 20% reserve. For example, a 16 ft opening needs 20 bags plus 4 reserve — 24 bags in total.
No. The estimate is preliminary and subject to site verification. Your final quote is confirmed after we review your photos and assess the site.
No. Temporary barriers and sandbags reduce the risk of water entering at the protected openings, but no temporary product can guarantee flood prevention. Severe flooding, rising groundwater or water entering elsewhere may still cause damage.
Some sites need a technician's eyes first — openings over 50 ft, several separate areas for barriers, slopes, standing water, difficult access, or no outdoor faucet. You can still submit your request and we'll follow up with a custom quote.
Not always. We need safe access to the areas being protected and, for water barriers, a working outdoor faucet. We'll coordinate details when we confirm your appointment.
Newport Beach, Newport Coast, Corona del Mar, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, Irvine and Fountain Valley. Nearby addresses can still request an estimate and we'll review them.
As early as possible. Requests spike when storms are forecast, so booking before the rainy season gives you the best chance at your preferred placement date.
Yes. We protect storefronts, restaurant entries and commercial doors. Choose "Commercial storefront" in the estimator.
